The Collier Prize for State Government Accountability

Administered by the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications, the Collier Prize is a $25,000 annual award recognizing journalists whose work demonstrates exceptional investigative reporting on Florida state government — reporting that produces real accountability and serves the public interest.

It is one of the largest journalism prizes in the state, and one of the few dedicated specifically to holding government accountable.

The Peter F. Collier Award

In 2024, Nathan founded The Peter F. Collier Award for Ethics in Journalism, an accolade recognizing student and professional journalists who uphold the highest ethical standards despite facing significant pressures or incentives to compromise. The award is administered by the NYU Carter Journalism Institute's Ethics and Journalism Initiative (EJI), underscoring its commitment to fostering integrity and accountability in the field of journalism.
